Sangria Strawberry Jam Great recipe for Sangria Strawberry Jam. A little grown-up twist to the classic strawberry jam. It's the perfect thing to have on toast, on a scone, sandwiched between cake or even with cheese! You can cook Sangria Strawberry Jam using 5 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Sangria Strawberry Jam

  1. It's 600 g of Strawberries.
  2. You need 4 tbsp of Red Wine.
  3. It's 2 tbsp of Orange Juice.
  4. Prepare 1 tsp of Lemon Juice.
  5. You need 120 g of Sugar.

Absolutely bliss (if I don't say myself) and easy to make. Strawberry Sangria Refrigerator Jam has all the flavors of a refreshing summer sangria in a small batch, quick jam that produces a soft, spreadable jam that requires no canning. The lesson of food preservation was taught to me by my grandmothers. Some took a week or more to make.

Sangria Strawberry Jam step by step

  1. Chop the strawberries and combine with the red wine, orange juice, lemon juice and sugar in a bowl or jug. Leave overnight in the fridge..
  2. The day after, empty contents of the bowl/jug into a blender and pulse 2-3 times or until a chunky-ish consistency. Transfer into a pot or pan and leave on a medium-high heat, stirring frequently. (You can add a splash more red wine if you want it a bit more boozy!) This will take about 10 minutes or more but please do the wrinkle test to check!.
  3. Wrinkle Test: Every 2-5 mins, plop a drop of the hot jam on a saucer and put it in the freezer. After a minute or so, take it out and push the drop of jam lightly. If it wrinkles it's ready and you should take the pot of jam off the heat immediately..
  4. Once ready, empty the hot jam into a clean ~250ml jar and leave to cool down to room temperature. Then pop in the fridge..
  5. This jam will keep in the fridge for about a month. Enjoy..

The other grandmother was more inclined to make fruit jellies. Sangria is kind of my jam. It seems that it's your guy's jam too. You adore this Peach Rose Sangria, Strawberry Limeade Sangria and Blueberry Sangria! I'll admit I'm not real picky when it comes to my sangrias but the first one I ever tried was that Blueberry Sangria and it holds a specially spot in my heart.
