- Grease the baking tin nicely with butter or line with a butter or parchment paper and arrange the sliced apples in a circle and sprinkle a tsp of sugar on them..
- Next, pour the prepared cake batter on top of the apple layer. Ensure not to disturb the apple layer. Pat the tin twice to release any air bubbles..
- Place the tin in the middle region of the preheated oven and keep the temperature at 180 deg. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the cake and if it comes out clean, tadaaaa!! your cake is done. If not, you can keep it for 5 more minutes and take it out..
- Turn the tin upside down on to a wire rack and let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes. You can now unmould the cake and cut into slices..
